The Dover Land Conservation Trust Supports the Hale Project to permanently protect over 1,000 acres of open space in Dover and Westwood. We hope you will join us.

You may have seen that Hale Education is in the final push to permanently protect over 1,000 acres of open space in Dover and Westwood, in connection with their “Campaign for Kids, Conservation and Community” campaign. To date, the DLCT has raised and committed close to $1 million in support of Hale’s efforts.

Hale has worked tirelessly to raise funds to create a much needed endowment that will secure Hale Education’s future, while simultaneously protecting the reservation land forever. Importantly, they have focused on raising all of the required funds through private sources, thus avoiding having to go to the towns of Dover and Westwood with requests for substantial public funding through town meeting votes.

We see this as a once in a generation opportunity to protect 1000+ acres of land from development, over 700 of which lie in Dover. It’s not too late to support this campaign by using the link below. If you prefer to make a multi-year pledge, email us directly at info@doverlandtrust.org.

Hale recently announced that a generous donor has offered a 1:1 match on all money raised from now to the end of June!
